Price a Telegram photo bundle from the buyer's intended use, the consistency and rarity of the set, and your delivery cost—not by multiplying a random per-photo price. The same ten images can reasonably have different prices for personal viewing, editorial use and commercial advertising.
This framework turns an informal DM sale into a product buyers can understand and you can fulfil repeatedly.
Start With the License, Not the File Count
| License tier | Typical allowed use | Price effect |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | Private viewing; no redistribution or commercial use | Baseline |
| Creator/editorial | Use in specified posts or publications with defined limits | Higher |
| Commercial | Use by a business in agreed marketing channels and period | Highest |
| Exclusive | Rights or availability restricted for an agreed scope | Quote individually |
These are commercial packaging examples, not legal advice. Define territory, duration, media, modification, attribution, sublicensing and exclusivity in plain language. Do not sell rights you do not own, and preserve model or property releases where required.
The Bundle Pricing Formula
Use this working formula:
Then apply a value factor for license scope, rarity, urgency and buyer type. The floor prevents an attractive bundle from becoming loss-making; the value factor prevents broad commercial rights from being priced like personal access.
For example, suppose a 20-photo set carries €30 of allocated production and editing cost, €4 of support and payment cost, and a €6 buffer. The €40 floor is not automatically the selling price. A reusable commercial license could justify a multiple of that floor, while a personal-viewing bundle in a larger catalogue might stay closer to it.
Three Tiers Buyers Can Compare
| Tier | Example contents | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Preview | 5 web-resolution images, personal license | New buyers testing your style |
| Complete | 20 full-resolution images, defined creator use | Regular customers and publishers |
| Campaign | Complete set plus selected alternates and commercial scope | Businesses with a specific campaign |
Do not make tiers different only by vague labels such as Basic, Pro and VIP. State image count, format, resolution, permitted use, delivery time, update rights and support.
Calculate the Real Net Amount
Gross price is not take-home revenue. Model provider processing, platform fees, currency conversion, refunds, taxes and your support time. PayRequest's Free plan charges 2% per successful payment, capped at €25 per transaction, in addition to the connected provider's fee. Verify current pricing and your provider's country-specific rates.
For a €50 sale, do not simply subtract 2% and stop. The provider may add a percentage, fixed fee or conversion cost, while VAT or sales-tax handling depends on your business, buyer and product. Build a small worksheet with gross price, each cost line and target net revenue.
Protect the Preview Without Misleading Buyers
Use enough preview quality to demonstrate the set, but not the full deliverable. Watermark or downsize samples consistently, crop only when disclosed and do not show images absent from the paid bundle. A contact sheet can communicate range better than one hero photo.
In the Telegram post or DM, include:
- a rights-cleared preview;
- exact number of files and formats;
- resolution or dimensions;
- concise license summary and full terms link;
- price, currency and any tax statement;
- delivery timing and support contact;
- refund limits, especially after download or access.
Choose Native or External Delivery Deliberately
Telegram supports native paid media through Stars, and digital goods sold inside bots or mini apps must use Stars under Telegram's official rules. An external hosted page is a different web sale and can provide a fuller product description, multiple enabled payment methods and protected file delivery.
The Telegram photo-selling guide compares the practical flows. With PayRequest digital products, you can present a bundle on a hosted page and release the protected file after a successful external checkout. Test the complete mobile journey before sharing it in a channel.
Run a Price Test Without Confusing Customers
Keep the product and license constant for each test. Change one variable—price, preview or package—not all three. Track post views, link clicks, checkout starts, completed purchases, refunds and support questions.
Avoid changing a public price repeatedly within hours. Run a defined cohort or release window, preserve what each buyer was promised and compare net revenue per reached buyer, not conversion rate alone.
Pre-Publish Rights Checklist
- Confirm you created or licensed every image for resale.
- Verify model and property permissions for the offered use.
- Remove location or camera metadata that should not be shared.
- Write the license scope and prohibited uses.
- State whether buyers may edit, redistribute or sublicense.
- Package files with consistent names and a license copy.
- Test download, receipt and support from a buyer device.
A strong photo bundle is not “20 files for €20.” It is a specific set, for a specific use, delivered under terms both sides can retrieve later.
