From getting paid to knowing where you stand.

Your PayRequest invoices are already here. Review them for your books, add the costs behind your work and match the money that arrived. Less switching between tools. A clearer trail from invoice to payment.

PayRequest Bookkeeping

The essentials, in one workspace.

Built for freelancers and small businesses keeping a Dutch administration in euros. Each confirmed posting feeds the ledger and the relevant reports.

Sales without retyping

Review your existing PayRequest invoices and credit notes for the ledger. Keep invoicing and bookkeeping connected.

A home for every purchase

Save supplier invoices as drafts, attach a PDF or receipt, and record the actual VAT on each line.

Match what really arrived

Allocate bank receipts to invoices, handle partial payments and record payment-provider fees separately.

VAT you can inspect

Review Dutch VAT categories, input VAT, reverse charges and credit notes with their signed amounts.

A calmer quarter-end

See unposted documents, unmatched bank transactions and clearing balances before closing a quarter.

Reports worth sharing

View your balance sheet, profit and loss and trial balance. Export CSV files for your accountant.

A small routine. A much clearer quarter.

Start with a date and opening balances. Then work through the same three steps whenever you update your books.

  1. 01

    Collect

Bring together sales invoices, supplier documents and imported bank transactions.

  2. 02

    Review & match

Check the evidence, confirm the posting and allocate the payment to the right invoice.

  3. 03

    Understand & close

Check the VAT overview, resolve outstanding items and close the completed quarter.

Made for your next chapter. Clear about today.

PayRequest Bookkeeping currently supports Dutch bookkeeping in EUR on the invoice basis. It is a good fit if you already invoice through PayRequest and want purchases, payments and reports in the same account.

VAT returns are submitted separately. Payroll, automatic depreciation, multi-currency bookkeeping and XAF export are not included. CSV exports help you hand your records to an accountant.

Free books. Clear costs.

The free bookkeeping rollout is intended to remove a separate monthly software bill. Accepting online payments is a separate service: the PayRequest Free plan has a 2% standard platform fee, capped at €25 per successful payment, plus provider fees. Paid plans and bank-connection terms are separate.

A few things worth knowing.

Can I use the free bookkeeping software today?

Free access is rolling out. The current bookkeeping beta requires a Business account. A Free signup does not give access to Bookkeeping yet.

Does it submit my Dutch VAT return?

No. The VAT overview helps you review the figures and underlying postings. You submit the return separately.

Can I use my existing PayRequest invoices?

Yes. Review and confirm existing sales invoices and credit notes for the ledger, then match the relevant bank transactions.

Can I send the books to my accountant?

Yes. Export the journal, trial balance, VAT figures, profit and loss, balance sheet and current open items as CSV. Accountant login access and XAF export are not part of this module.

Does everything get booked automatically?

No. Choose your start date and opening balances, then review and confirm the documents and allocations. Existing history is not silently converted.

Is it suitable for a business outside the Netherlands?

The current ledger is designed for a Dutch administration in EUR using the invoice basis. An English or translated interface does not add another country’s tax rules.

Your payments tell half the story.
Bring the rest together.
