Hetzner Cloud integration

Your VPS services. Connected to billing.

Connect your own Hetzner project, link existing servers or sell VPS subscriptions with delivery after confirmed payment. Give customers server details, permitted power controls and a browser console in one portal.

Two ways to connect your VPS business

Link servers you already manage

Associate one existing server with one subscription while preserving billing and server settings. Enable customer reboot and console separately. Linking alone grants no provisioning or deletion rights.

Sell a new VPS subscription

Choose a fixed server type, location, compatible image and project SSH key. Set a monthly or annual price. One subscription delivers one VPS after confirmed, full payment.

From your project to your first subscription

  1. 1

    Connect your project

Create a Read & Write API token in a separate Hetzner project for customer servers. Save it under Services & integrations → Hetzner Cloud. The token is encrypted; the read-only connection test creates no paid server and does not prove write permission.

  2. 2

    Link or configure

Use Link to subscription for an existing server, or Create VPS subscription for a new product. The server list includes all project servers without automatically attaching them to customers. Private server notes are visible only to the owner.

  3. 3

    Confirm payment and access

Delivery waits for a positive, fully paid order or a paid invoice line for that subscription. Pending bank transfers and payment verification do not deliver a server. Capacity changes may require delivery review.

Customer controls with clear permissions

Server details and power actions

Customers see IP addresses, configuration and synchronized status. Provisioned servers show paid-until information and support start, graceful shutdown and restart during paid access. Actions are asynchronous: refresh details to confirm completion.

Reboot for linked servers

Enable Allow customer reboot for the linked subscription’s current customer. It is off by default. Unlinking clears it and changing the customer requires enabling it again. This does not grant root, shutdown, rebuild or deletion access.

Browser console through Hetzner VNC

Enable Allow console separately for linked servers. Console is also available for provisioned servers with valid paid access. The customer selects Open console → Connect and signs in with their own Linux username and server password. PayRequest does not reset passwords.

The primary customer and enabled admin or operations contacts may use allowed controls. Billing and viewer contacts cannot operate the server or connect to its console.

Connect within one minute. Console credentials remain in browser memory. Browser access checks run every 15 seconds and close the console after 30 minutes. Disabling access blocks new credentials, but cannot forcibly revoke an established direct Hetzner connection. Log out of Linux before disconnecting VNC.

Keep control of termination and server costs

Hetzner continues charging while a server exists, even when it is powered off. Cancelling or missing a renewal does not automatically stop or delete the server, and does not revoke SSH access. Cancellation preserves controls through the remaining paid period; expired or reversed paid access blocks them.

Only the business owner can delete a managed server in PayRequest, after confirming its exact name, a reason, customer readiness and backups or exports. Deletion permanently destroys server data. It does not cancel subscriptions, credit invoices or remove separate resources such as volumes and additional IPs.

Know what stays with your hosting business

Arrange customer SSH access yourself. PayRequest installs the selected public key and never stores or distributes private SSH keys. VPS products have no free trials, quantity selection or customer pauses. Create a new product to sell a different configuration; existing services retain their configuration and billing interval.

Uncertain provisioning is checked against the original server; uncertain power actions are not blindly repeated. The owner can verify or review after at least ten minutes. A server deleted outside PayRequest is never automatically recreated. Do not rename managed servers or change their payrequest.io/ ownership labels.

This integration supports Hetzner Cloud VPS servers. Robot dedicated servers, automatic resizing, cloud backup management and usage-based billing are not supported.

Bring VPS subscriptions into your customer portal
