Built for PowerPoint, Keynote, or both?

The most common one-star review on template marketplaces isn't about design — it's a deck that opens with the wrong fonts and dead animations because it was built in a different app than the buyer uses. Fix that before you upload, not after a refund request.

Name the native app in your listing

A buyer searching "Keynote pitch deck" is trying to avoid a file that breaks. Say up front which app you designed it in.

Embed or outline your fonts

PowerPoint silently swaps a missing font for Calibri and quietly wrecks your layout. Embed fonts in your .pptx export, or convert headline text to outlines so it renders identically everywhere.

Flag Keynote-only animations

Magic Move and other Keynote transitions don't survive being saved as .pptx. If animation is part of the pitch, say so — or ship a static version for PowerPoint buyers.

Bundle all three formats

Exporting the same deck as .pptx, .key, and a Google Slides link takes minutes and lets one listing sell to every buyer, regardless of what they open it in.

Everything you need to sell templates people can actually open

Multi-format delivery, licensed assets, and full slide previews — the details that stop refund requests before they happen.

Multi-Format Delivery

Attach .pptx, .key, and a Google Slides link to one listing so buyers get the version that matches their app.

Licensed Asset Disclosure

State clearly which stock photos, icons, and fonts are cleared for resale, so buyers aren't caught out after they've already built on your template.

Full Slide-by-Slide Previews

Upload a preview gallery of every slide, not just the cover — buyers can judge editability and layout quality before paying.

Instant Delivery

Templates unlock automatically via download link the moment payment clears — no manual email attachments to size-limit around.

Perfect for presentation designers

Whether you design decks full-time or sell templates on the side, the payment and delivery side works the same way.

"A buyer once refunded a deck because it opened in PowerPoint with three missing fonts and no animations — it was built in Keynote. Now I sell both a .pptx and a .key version from the same PayRequest link, with fonts embedded in the PowerPoint export, and that complaint has completely stopped."

Frequently asked questions

Should I sell my template as PowerPoint, Keynote, or both?+
Sell both when you can. Buyers search separately for "PowerPoint template" and "Keynote template," and a Keynote-native deck often loses its animations when saved as .pptx. Exporting both from your original file usually takes minutes and roughly doubles who can buy without extra design work.
Why do my fonts look different when a customer opens my template?+
PowerPoint substitutes a missing font with Calibri by default, which can wreck a carefully designed layout. Embed fonts when you export the .pptx, or convert headline text to outlines — and note the exact font names in your listing so buyers know what to install if they want to edit text.
Can I include stock photos and icons in a template I sell?+
Only if your stock license explicitly allows redistribution inside a resold template — many personal-use or single-project stock licenses don't cover that. Check your source's extended or commercial license terms before bundling, or swap in assets that are cleared for resale.
How large a file can I upload, and does that limit embedded video or GIFs?+
Uploads support files up to 25GB, so embedded video backgrounds, GIFs, or high-resolution image slides aren't a problem — you don't need to compress your deck or host media separately just to fit an email attachment limit.
Should my templates be fully editable or partially locked?+
Buyers expect to edit text, colors, and images freely — lock only the underlying master-slide structure if you need to protect the layout grid. Fully locking content causes support requests and refund demands, since a template people can't adapt isn't worth much to them.
