The initial 1.00 and 0.96 rates are illustrative examples, not current market rates. Replace them with rates for the same currency pair, direction and time. Use a provider quote that excludes the separately entered processing fee to avoid counting it twice. PayRequest does not bypass provider conversion charges.
Worked example
Illustration only: USD 100, no processing fee, a reference of 1.00 EUR/USD and a quote of 0.96 EUR/USD produce EUR 100 versus EUR 96: a EUR 4 difference.
Net converted = (payment − processing fee) × entered rate. Difference = net at reference rate − net at quoted rate. A negative difference means the quote is better than the entered reference.
